Craft of the Day- Fabric

So today was more of prep work for all my crafts rather then me making something. I went to JoAnns and got some amazing deals on some cotton fabric. $2.50 a yard???? YES PLEASE!!!
As I was at the cut counter the nice lady and I were talking. let's call her Jo- (short for JoAnn) and she was asking what I was making? Well... I told her some might be quilts, some might be blankets and some might be headbands. As we were talking I was telling her how I want to have my husband cut some cardboard so I can put my yards onto cardboard bolts.

And this is what she pulls out...
Empty bolts!!!!!  Jo says they just throw them away!! Can we say SCORE??? I know I can!!!  So now the question remains do I cut these down, or use the how they are?? I am not sure, but I will post what I decide to do.

Craft of the Day- Magnets

These were so fun to make. The funnest part was how quick I got  them done. Adhesive magnets were a very handy thing to use with this project.

Disclaimer- Vintage paper was not harmed in the making of these magnets!!

Craft of the Day-T-Shirt for Arizona

HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY ARIZONA!!

The kids and some friends down the street made shirts to celebrate our states centennial. It was super fun!!

Craft of the Day Another Baby Blanket

A old family friend had a baby four months ago. My mama and papa went to see the baby and I made a cute little blanket for him. I love making these, they are so fun.

P.S.
Sorry this is so late I did this over the weekend, but when I took the pictures my phone was dead. So, I did it off my husband's phone, and he has been out of town this week. So this is a craft of the other day really.

Craft of the Day-Cards

Birthday, Thank you, Christmas, Wedding, Baby! I have cards coming out my ears all the time! And you can't throw them away so what to do!! Aah I have an idea!! Ready, Set GO!!

Separate them into piles. I did my each child there own pile. My husband and myself, then I did wedding, baby, Christmas and Random in there own piles. Oh and by size too with them all going the same direction.

Then I took my crop-a-dile. I love that thing!! And hole punched a corner of a couple of cards at a time to make this project move a little quicker.

Then I would add them to a binder ring. I nought mine at Walmart in a eight pack for two bucks. I used them all and still need more.

I kept going till they look like this!!

All done!! I have all my daughters cards all in one spot. I loved this quick and easy and a little closer to complete organization!! Oh wait is that a dream?? Thanks for stopping by.

Craft of the Day- Does Cooking Count?

No?? Well how about hanging up pin boards in my craft closet?? I decided to take over the whole closet instead of 3/4th. My husband wasn't thrilled but moved on! I love it!! I have my sewing table out so I don't have to drag it our every time I want to sew! This should make me sew more!! Sundays are hard days for me to craft I have come to realize! I always in my head say once lunch is made or one extra load of laundry. (I have yet to do any today) and before I know it Sunday has flown by and I haven't crafted anything. The days not over so we will see. But don't hold your breathe!!
So here are some photos of what else I have been doing today.
To top off today my sweet little girl is sick. My poor kids never get sick on a week day either. Always the weekends and are feeling better in time for school! Soup and a book and blanket are keeping her company!!
I made freshly squeezed lemonade and some tea that is a little weak this batch. But they are friends in the fridge so that makes me happy!
Last but not least homemade honey granola. My kids love to take this in there lunches with some yogurt and berries. I love how healthy it is for them. Here is a link to my recipe blog for the recipe if you want to try it. Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great Sunday!! Oh ya anyone watching football this Superbowl Sunday??

Craft of the Day- Behavior Chart

Today was super exciting for me, my cousin came over with her two adorable kids and we did a chart for her Caleb, not mine. It was so fun!! I started with the idea from Judy Moody and the Not So Bummer Summer movie I saw with the kids over the summer. And from there we made it a Cool Chart for a two year old and not a darn chat like in the movie. I forgot to take pictures but have them in the works with my cousin. Also we made two jars. A Cool Stick Jar for things he can earn for being good, and also a Naughty Sticks Jar for if he is naughty and needs a punishment. I hope he never has to use it but he is two so I will be realistic. :( They turned out so cute and I got to use up some mason jars that needed a new home! Thanks Lori for coming over I had a blast!!
This is where I got the idea that bloomed into a Caleb's Cool Chart!! Thanks Judy!! More picture to come I promise!! Thanks for stopping bye!!

Craft of the Day- Baby Gift

Remeber all those blankets I had posted a couple days ago, well this is for the same friends baby. I bought this cute little pink dress with shoes and thought I got a great deal! Well if you look close enough there are two small holes on the dress. :(  Not the best thing to give as a gift! SO!! I found some cute buttons and will add some Vanessa Flair to it!! I love easy fixes!!

 The Dress.
 The holes.
 The buttons.
 The finished dress.
Close up!!

Craft of the Day- Black Shirt

So my friend gave me a shirt. Well it was too big in the front for me to wear. SO I got this idea that I could cut the front open and make it look less like a maternity shirt on myself and more modern looking. Well after a huge fuss with my machine and pollestor thread. (My bobbin hates it) Cute black and white pokkie dotted fabric, a button and a few pleets in the back I am done. Looking at the pictures from the front you cant tell a huge difference. But it was fun to try something new!

Not sure what one I like better. If either! HA!

Craft of the Day- Felt Bookmarks

A friend of mine found this and I had to try it for my Craft of the Day. Here is the link to the blog I found it on.
http://simple-serendipities.blogspot.com/2012/01/felt-heart-bookmark-free-pattern.html

Very simple just cut out the hearts or whatever shape you want and stitch along the bottoms and if you want to add an initial you can or a flower or nothing. Super easy and fun. I will be doing these my kids classes for Valentine's Day.
